Disrupting the Gendered Form

This zine came about because the authors organized an anti-conference called Disrupting the (Gendered) Form. The workshop aimed to push back against the academic trend of prioritizing self-sustainability, individual production, and personal expertise, and instead championed the importance of vulnerability, ambiguity, and collaborative knowledge creation. On the day, about 20 of us postgrads and early career researchers got together to experiment with a new way of being academics. In these pages, you’ll find our reflections on how the event went, as well as our general thoughts on traditional academic gatherings.
